Why run a time audit?
Your calendar does not tell you where your time goes. It tells you what you planned. The audit tells you what happened – and the gap is almost always bigger than you expect. The demo workspace owner estimated they did admin «maybe an hour a day». The audit showed nearly three.
How is the audit done?
- Split the day into half-hour blocks.
- Write a short description for every block.
- Mark the money from one to four: how valuable the work was.
- Give energy a colour: green gave, yellow was neutral, red drained.
Withheld – opens to membersWhy exactly two weeks?
One week is too short: something unusual always lands in it. A month is too long: logging fades in the third week. Two weeks show both an ordinary week and what repeats.
Doesn't logging take too much time?
Audits usually fail because logging is heavy. That is why AIKAA lets you log into the same audit in five ways:
- One line: «9.00 proposal $$$ green».
- Keyboard: a grid where arrow keys and numbers are enough.
- Ping: the system asks about the block that just ended.
- Dictation: speak your day and the text splits into blocks.
- Your own agent: through the API, within your rights.
What happens after the audit?
The entries place themselves in the DRIP matrix. From there come the offload list, the buyback rate and the order in which work moves. The audit is not a one-off exercise – it is a gauge you return to every quarter.
Frequently asked
How long should a time audit be?
Two weeks. One week is too exposed to exceptions, and over a month the logging fades.
How are time audit entries made?
Every half-hour block gets a description, a money value from one to four and an energy colour: green, yellow or red.
Can a time audit be done by dictation?
Yes. In AIKAA you can log by dictation, a single line, the keyboard, by answering a ping or through your own agent.
AIKAA is a private membership. Every workspace is built by hand for the person who uses it, so places are filled by application.
